ALRUNAWAY.BLOGSPOT.CO.ID - JAKARTA, the Capital City of Indonesia. Metropolitan city who located in Western part of Java Island. A Big Durian city for most Indonesian people and overseas looking for an oppurtunities to do business and entertainment.
Jakarta has many attractions to explore, from Historical to modern. I will explain to you one by one about the city attractions. Let' get started.
1. Monument
MONAS (Monumen Nasional) a.k.a National Monument is a memorial monument which has a height of 132 meterd (433 feet) tall. Located inside Merdeka Square area in Central Jakarta, surronds by CBD area. Close to Gambir Train station, and passing by busway / Transjakarta route.
It's monument with flame at the top covered by gold, was build in 1961 under the command of President Soekarno and open for public in 1975.
National monument is a symbol of the people of Indonesia in the capture of independence from Dutch colonial government.
2. Museums
There are enough museum to explore. If you are historical lover, then you will not getting bored. Mostly, the building located in Central Jakarta area close one to another.
TMII
The biggest out door museum is TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah) aka miniatur of Indonesia. Here, I suggest you should explore full day. If don't have enough time to traveling across Indonesia, then this place is the right one. TMII located in East Jakarta.
Museum Nasional
National museum or we used to called Museum Gajah aka Elephant Museum because there is an elephant bronze statue at front yard of museum. A gifts from King of Thailand Chulalongkorn (Rama V) who've been visit the museum in 1871.
Located across west side of MONAS, Jalan Medan Merdeka barat No. 12 to be exact. This museum is a heaven for artificial and traditional houses hunter. Has 2 seperate building but connects by hall way. ASEAN collection is also available here.
Museum Taman Prasasti
It's a cultural heritage museum, located a bit to west side from museum nasional. Address Jalan Tanah Abang I No.1
Gedung Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia
National Archieves building located at Jalan Gajah Mada No.111. The building architect style is a European.

3. Oldest Bridge
Jembatan Kota Intan
Still in old town area. It's the oldest bridge in Indonesia, build in 1628.
4. Lighthouse

Build in 1839
5. Port
Pelabuhan Sunda Kelapa
6. Shopping
Pasar Tanah Abang
Place for shopping fabric, cloths, Zam-zam water, dates, etc. Still the biggest whole seller market place in South East Asia
Malls
Jakarta has a lots of malls you can imagine in your home country.
7. Club
If you are night hunter, there are enough of clubbing place hou can visit. Check to jakarta100bars
